Alumni Event Info

Due to so many members of the club being selected for Celtics this year we have decided to cancel the Saturday swimming session. The ceilidh will still go ahead as planned on Friday the 28th of March at 20:30. Hope your not too disappointed, we all know the young ones would have annihilated the alumni anyway!

A message from the captains!

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.

People don’t do sport because it’s fun. Ask any swimmer, most of them hate it. But they couldn’t imagine their life with out it.

It’s part of them; that love/hate relationship. Its what they live for.

They live for the training, the chants, the long walks to ocouture, the nights-out, the chlorine, the bus trips, the countless pairs of goggles, water, lucozade, & coaches you hate but appreciate (Dan is the man). They live for the way it feels when they beat the other team, and knowing those two extra sprints they swam in training were worth it.They live for the countless songs they sing when all together, they live for the way they become a close family with their team. They live for the competition, they live for the friends, the training, the pain, the memories.

It’s who they are. It’s who we are.

GUSWPC, just do what you do best..
